Let’s get started

CWUW has created a booklet to get you started on your mental health and wellness journey. It centers the needs of Black women in particular, but contains helpful information for anyone. Learn about types of providers, insurance for mental health care, self-care resources and more!


Our Provider Partners

Our provider partnerships are what makes this program so great. You can use your insurance if they accept it, or take advantage of the free sessions offered. If you use insurance, but still have a copay, you can even ask us to reimburse you! (up to $250 per year)

Morningstar Afrocentric Wellness Center seeks to improve the quality of life and increase the capacity of all we serve by providing holistic, trauma informed, culturally relevant therapeutic services.

Making access to affirming mental health support more equitable; Irvington Counseling Collective is an Indianapolis based 501(c)3 nonprofit & sliding-scale mental health counseling collective.

Mental or emotional struggles are a normal part of life, so we are committed to providing affordable mental health counseling services that make it easier to get help when you need it. We welcome everyone-regardless of spiritual beliefs, race, gender, gender expression, ethnicity, nationality, age, disability, etc. We provide counseling for relationships issues, depression/anxiety disorders, parenting and child discipline, grief/loss, life adjustment issues, mild/moderate psychological disorders, and other life challenges. We can also include a spiritual or faith- based approach into the sessions if that is something that's important to you, too.

Here are some of our favorites. Many of these resources allow you to search and filter according to insurance, gender, race, specialties, and more.


Financial assistance
